You may ONLY reserve seats in DEXCON 17 events if you are pre-registered.
Click here to pre-register for DEXCON 17 if you have not already done so.

To reserve your spots in the events you want to play in, send eMail to THIS ADDRESS ONLY and include your name and the events you want to register for BY CODE ONLY! NOTE: You may ONLY choose Event Codes which are SHOWN IN GREEN. DO NOT CHOOSE CODES WHICH ARE SHOWN IN RED and have LOCKS on them. Red Event Codes indicate locked events which you cannot register for, later rounds in tournaments which you will be automatically advanced to if you win the preliminary rounds, or events which have already filled up to capacity (if we have a chance to update them).

We allow you to select second and third choices for a given time slot; indicate this clearly in whatever fashion you'd like, otherwise we will just leave that slot open. And of course, since the grids are not yet posted, we understand that you may want to reserve spots in one or two popular events immediately and then send follow-up eMails with additional codes once you figure out how to plan the rest of your convention schedule.

If you have already sent in a list of events from the Signature Event and LARP Schedule that was posted on May 18th, those events are already reserved, and you do NOT need to add them again. If you want to UN-reserve a spot in one of those events, just be clear about it in your email, and we will delete you appropriately. Each time you send more information, we will send you back your up-to-date schedule.

We will reply within 48 hours with a confirmation that your reservations were received. If you do NOT get a confirmation, assume that your codes are NOT received and try again. Note that you MUST include a valid eMail reply-to address for us to reach you to confirm!

B0383: The 2014 U.S. National Jungle Speed Championship. Give the tribe a hand in this game from Asmodee Editions! A lightning fast card game for the entire family, where you test your fast reflexes and good judgment. Grab the totem at the right moment to get rid of your cards and win the game! Players may play in any or all of the four preliminary sessions, but may only qualify once. The winner at each table will advance to the final rounds to play for the U.S. National Championship title and a trophy! Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; Session 1A of 3; All Materials Provided. B0384: The 2014 U.S. National Palabra Championship. Palabra is a combination of words, poker and rummy - guaranteed to "release your mental endorphins." Score by forming a word, a straight (an alphabetical sequence of 3 cards), a flush (5 cards in one color/suit), building on a prior word or straight, or present 6 or 7 vowels. Because of many double and triple multiplier cards, which multiply upon each other, and "color-locking" (which also doubles the score), a small word or straight can be multiplied by 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, etc., and be worth 200 points or more! Stuck with a "Q," an "X," or a "Z?" Don't make a word. Put them in a straight or a flush. Did your opponent just make a 400 point combination? Don't fret. Cancel it with the "joker." Or steal any part of it for yourself. Players may play in either or both of the preliminary sessions, but may only qualify once. The winner at each table will advance to the final round to play for the U.S. National Championship title and a trophy! Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; Session 1A of 2; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, All Ages. See Also: B0555. Next Session: B0746.

In the center of the table is a selection of other cards the players can "buy" as they can afford them. Through their selection of cards to buy, and how they play their hands as they draw them, the players construct their deck on the fly, striving for the most efficient path to the precious victory points by game end. Dominion is not a CCG, but the play of the game is similar to the construction and play of a CCG deck. The winners in each qualifier session will advance to the final rounds to compete for a $100 Shopping Spree in the DEXCON 17 Dealer's Room and a trophy! Instead, he invites all of his former "colleagues" to join him in his retirement, to enjoy the fruits of their looting with impunity. Each year, in remembrance of the "good old days," Morgan organizes the Great Challenge, a race around the island, and at its end, the Captain with the most gold is declared Grand Winner. The game ends on the turn when at least one player's ship reaches the finish line, completing one circuit around the island of Jamaica. Wednesday, 12:00AM - 2:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B0594.

B0412: Love Letter. Love Letter is a game of risk, deduction, and luck. Your goal is to get your love letter into Princess Annette's hands while deflecting the letters from competing suitors. From a deck with only sixteen cards, each player starts with only one card in hand; one card is removed from play. On a turn, you draw one card, and play one card, trying to expose others and knock them from the game. Powerful cards lead to early gains, but make you a target. Rely on weaker cards for too long, however, and your letter may be tossed in the fire! Wednesday, 12:00AM - 2:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B0945.

Additional points come to those who fulfill Destination Tickets - goal cards that connect distant cities; and to the player who builds the longest continuous route. In this special training session, you will learn to play this popular game from Days of Wonder and be ready to compete in World Championship rounds! B0421: Cosmic Wimpout. See B0410. Thursday, 9:00AM - 11:00AM; One Session. See Also: B1017.

B0422: Eclipse. The galaxy has been a peaceful place for many years. After the ruthless Terran-Hegemony War (30.027-33.364), much effort has been employed by all major spacefaring species to prevent the terrifying events from repeating themselves. The Galactic Council was formed to enforce precious peace and it has taken many courageous efforts to prevent the escalation of malicious acts. Nevertheless, tension and discord are growing among the seven major species and in the Council itself. Old alliances are shattering and hasty diplomatic treaties are made in secrecy. A confrontation of the superpowers seems inevitable - only the outcome of the galactic conflict remains to be seen. Which faction will emerge victorious and lead the galaxy under its rule? A game of Eclipse places you in control of a vast interstellar civilization, competing for success with its rivals. You will explore new star systems, research technologies and build spaceships to wage war with. There are many potential paths to victory, so you need to plan your strategy according to the strengths and weaknesses of your species while paying attention to the other civilizations' endeavors. The shadows of the great civilizations are about to eclipse the galaxy. Lead your people to victory! Thursday, 9:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. How long will you push your luck as you avoid security patrols, surpass rival thieves, and try to download the most data before the building is locked down? Thursday, 9:00AM - 11:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B0593. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN FILLED! You may sign up as an Alternate at the convention.

B0425: Ingenious. The goal of this Fantasy Flight game is, through clever placement, to obtain points in the different symbol colours on a 120-part hex board. Points are claimed by placing a piece such that the symbols on it lie next to already-placed pieces with the same symbol. Thursday, 9:00AM - 11:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B0975.

B0426: Little Devils/Crazy Creatures of Dr. Gloom. Stronghold Games presents two new mini-games. In Little Devils, you try to saddle opposing players with negative cards, and every little devil scores a penalty point. But take care: You will not escape the "diabolical" plans of your opponents either. In Crazy Creatures of Dr. Gloom, strange noises are heard from the Mad Mansion of Doctor Doom. Clouds of all colors come out of the chimney, and people tell weird stories about crazy creatures seen in the forest around the mansion. The game features a unique trade system and a thematic combat system, allowing for critical decisions and intense excitement. Modify your ship, buy impressive vessels, load deadly special ammunitions and hire specialist crew members. Will your captain gain eternal glory and immense wealth - or find his wet grave under the stormy surface of the Caribbean Sea? Thursday, 9:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B0596, B1026.

B0428: Poison. The mad doctor has cooked up something evil in Reiner Knizia's Poison, a clever strategy card game. Players choose a potion card from their hand to add to one of three colored cauldrons, being careful not to let the pot go over a total value of 13. The player who causes the cauldron to go over 13 must take all of the cards within it, trying to avoid taking a potion mixed with poison. Be the player with either the most or none of any potion and you're safe - otherwise take the risk of receiving a deadly dose of poison! Thursday, 9:00AM - 11:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.

B0429: Takenoko. A long time ago at the Japanese Imperial court, the Chinese Emperor offered a giant panda bear as a symbol of peace to the Japanese Emperor. Since then, the Japanese Emperor has entrusted his court members with the difficult task of caring for the animal by tending to his bamboo garden. In Takenoko, the players will cultivate land plots, irrigate them, and grow one of the three species of bamboo (Green, Yellow, and Pink) with the help of the Imperial gardener to maintain this bamboo garden. They will have to bear with the immoderate hunger of this sacred animal for the juicy and tender bamboo. The player who manages his land plots best, growing the most bamboo while feeding the delicate appetite of the panda, will win the game. Thursday, 9:00AM - 11:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B0605. ONLY ONE SEAT LEFT!

Another might feel ambitious and strive for a career in public office. A third one might want to seek his luck in distant lands. Each player will take the reins of a family and have them find fame and glory in many different ways. There is one thing you must not forget, however: Time will not stop for anyone and with time people will vanish. Those who will find themselves immortalized in the village chronicles will bring honor to their family and be one step closer to victory. Thursday, 9:00AM - 11:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.

Thursday, 11:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, All Ages. See Also: B0680.

B0444: Eminent Domain. Eminent Domain is a civilization-building game in which your civilization's abilities are based on a deck of Role cards. At the beginning of the game each player has the same deck of cards, with just two cards for each Role in it. Every turn you must choose a Role to execute (and like Glory to Rome or Puerto Rico, your opponents will get a chance to follow suit), and in doing so you will add one of those Role cards to your deck. When executing a Role, you can boost its effect by playing cards out of your hand matching the Role you have chosen. Thursday, 11:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B0682.

B0445: Euphoria: Build a Better Dystopia. Maintain Control!!! (or try to) in this darkly humorous worker placement game about a (not so) bright shiny future. Euphoria borrows from games like Alien Frontiers, Tzolk'in, and The Resistance while drawing thematic inspiration from dystopian fiction like The Hunger Games, 1984, and Brave New World. The dice are your workers and cards your recruits. The pips on each die represent their intelligence which is useful, but of course too much intelligence is a threat to any fledgling despotic bureaucracy. Let them learn too much and they'll defect. Your path to victory is paved with the sweat of your oppressed workers, generating commodities, digging tunnels to infiltrate opposing areas, constructing markets, collecting artifacts, strengthening allegiances, and fulfilling secret agendas. Four distinct societies, each of them waiting for you to rewrite history. What are YOU willing to sacrifice to build a better dystopia? Thursday, 11:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B1020. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN FILLED! You may sign up as an Alternate at the convention.

B0449: Qwirkle. Qwirkle is a tile-matching game by color or shape (6 colors and 6 shapes). Each player has a "hand" of 6 tiles. Tiles are played (as many as you can per turn) according to color (no duplicate shapes in a row) or shape (same shape, one of each color). Each play is scored, and completing a row of six is a Qwirkle for double the score. Strategies are important, for example, don't play the fifth tile and leave it open for another player to score a Qwirkle. Thursday, 11:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B0862.

B0450: Rampaging Jotunn. B0578: Slash: Romance Without Boundaries. Slash is a card-based party game in which players compete to create the best romantic fan fiction pairing. Everybody gets a hand of their favorite characters from pop culture, history, and literature. The matchmaker selects one from her hand and places it face up on the table. For a bit more storytelling the matchmaker can request that each player narrate some portion of the relationship they are attempting to create. Maybe it's the first date, or their wedding day or describing the moment when they realized they belonged together. Each player in turn selects a possible 'ship for that character using a card from their hand, narrating as necessary and hoping that the matchmaker chooses theirs. But, if she doesn't, you can always narrate the tale of this destined connection to win the favor of the table and overrule the matchmaker. Play continues until one player has accumulated 20 points worth of characters. Thursday, 12:00AM - 2:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Silly, All Ages. See Also: B1004.

The fact that you *must* add at least one city to your route each turn or lose the whole route gives the game an enjoyable planning element. More than 450 people were surveyed in the US, UK, Australia and Mexico and University Games tabulated their answers to hundreds of questions. Now, you and your friends can match wits with them to see who comes up with the "least" likely answer. Each Card lists all of the correct answers to each question and points are awarded based on the popularity of the answer. The winner is the player who scores closest to zero when the game ends! When all the tiles are gone, the first player to use up all the tiles in their hand wins. Players may play in either or both of the two preliminary sessions, but may only qualify once. Then secret cards are given to each player, only one of which has the answer. The other cards instruct the players to "bluff", and they then have only a few moments to come up with a lie that sounds good. In turn, the players all give their answers, and then everyone votes on who they believe had the correct one. You get points if you guess the right answer, but more points for how many people vote for you. The fun comes from players spinning long yarns and tall tales, all while sounding like they're a scholar on the subject. Of course, the right answer often sounds the silliest of them all... Players take on roles of the crew of Serenity and play through a series of Events. Using their Fightin', Flyin', and Thinkin' skills they attempt to successfully complete these Events to earn Credits and Honor. B0944: Junta. Players represent various office holders in the ruling Junta. Depending upon his office and the various cards he holds, each player has a certain number of votes. These are important as they must first elect El Presidente and then vote on the budget that he proposes. Here's where it can get sticky. El Presidente draws cards face down from the money deck (which varies in denomination from $1 to $3) and must propose a budget for the year, distributing the money as he sees fit amongst the various offices. Of course, loyalty to him is usually rewarded, while those pesky 'thorns in his side' are usually cut off completely. The beauty of all this, though, is that El Presidente can - and most always does - keep some of the loot for himself. And since no one but he knows the value of what he drew, no one knows how much he's keeping. Suspicion is always keen. Saturday, 8:00PM - 12:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Each player is secretly assigned a role - Werewolf, Villager, or special character such as The Captain, The Hunter, the Witch, the Little Girl, The Seer and so on... There is also a Moderator player who controls the flow of the game. The game alternates between night and day phases. At night, the Werewolves secretly choose a Villager to kill. During the day, the Villager who was killed is revealed and is out of the game. The remaining Villagers (normal and special villagers alike) then vote on the player they suspect is a Werewolf helped (or hindered) by the clues the special characters add to the general deliberation. That player reveals his/her role and is out of the game. Werewolf is a social game that requires no equipment to play, and can accommodate almost any large group of players. B1001: Panic on Wall Street. Take on the role of a freewheeling capitalist out to outmaneuver your competitors and earn your place as a great industrialist. Players are divided into managers and investors. Your goal is to earn more money than any other manager (if you are a manager) or more money than any other investor (if you are an investor) by the end of the fifth round. Each round managers and investors negotiate with each other in a noisy, two-minute free-for-all to set a purchase price for shares in the managers' companies. Investors then collect income from the shares they purchased but not until a roll of the dice brings (sometimes drastic) changes to the economy, with major consequences for the balance sheet of each player. Managers collect what they are owed from investors, pay fees for each of their companies, and buy new companies at auction. After five rounds of play (5 months), the manager and the investor who have accumulated the most money are each declared victors, the undisputed masters of commerce. The wrinkle, however, is that the factory floor is filled with all kinds of inconvenient (if not down-right deadly) obstacles located in various locations: conveyor belts, crushers, flame-throwers, pushers, teleporters, oil slicks, pits, et cetera. But the real fun comes when the robots cross each other's path, and suddenly your perfect route is something less than that... Saturday, 12:00AM - 3:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided.
