You may ONLY reserve seats in DEXCON 17 events if you are pre-registered.
Click here to pre-register for DEXCON 17 if you have not already done so.

To reserve your spots in the events you want to play in, send eMail to THIS ADDRESS ONLY and include your name and the events you want to register for BY CODE ONLY! NOTE: You may ONLY choose Event Codes which are SHOWN IN GREEN. DO NOT CHOOSE CODES WHICH ARE SHOWN IN RED and have LOCKS on them. Red Event Codes indicate locked events which you cannot register for, later rounds in tournaments which you will be automatically advanced to if you win the preliminary rounds, or events which have already filled up to capacity (if we have a chance to update them).

We allow you to select second and third choices for a given time slot; indicate this clearly in whatever fashion you'd like, otherwise we will just leave that slot open. And of course, since the grids are not yet posted, we understand that you may want to reserve spots in one or two popular events immediately and then send follow-up eMails with additional codes once you figure out how to plan the rest of your convention schedule.

If you have already sent in a list of events from the Signature Event and LARP Schedule that was posted on May 18th, those events are already reserved, and you do NOT need to add them again. If you want to UN-reserve a spot in one of those events, just be clear about it in your email, and we will delete you appropriately. Each time you send more information, we will send you back your up-to-date schedule.

We will reply within 48 hours with a confirmation that your reservations were received. If you do NOT get a confirmation, assume that your codes are NOT received and try again. Note that you MUST include a valid eMail reply-to address for us to reach you to confirm!

Q0001: The $1,000 Team Space Marine Championship. Bring your team, or join one on site. Up to eight teams of five players each will take part in a tense, vicious tournament of strategy and guts! Each team consists of a Captain, who uses a bolter and a power melee weapon, three regular squad members with bolters, and a Marine with a heavy weapon. Randomly allocated rounds will be run by normal Warhammer 40,000 squad rules, with one side representing Space Marines and the other side Chaos Space Marines. A team wins by decimating the other side! The battlefield will be randomly set with full-scale scenery for each round, and actual line-of-sight will be used for each decision. The Captain must lead his team to fight cooperatively and intelligently every step of the way. The four teams with the best record will move on to the final rounds, and the winning team will receive $1,000 in CASH ($200 per player). SPECIAL NOTE: Double Exposure reserves the right to revoke the cash prize if participation falls below 30 players. Thursday, 6:00PM - 12:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.

Q0002: The $5,000 Interactive Puzzle Challenge. Thirty players will enter a huge room on Friday morning. The room will be filled with items, art, games, sounds, music, letters, numbers and all sorts of strange clues. The door will lock behind them - if anyone leaves, they cannot re-enter and they are removed from the event. The players then have five hours to make sense of the chaos and find the FINAL ANSWER that will win the jackpot. The players can work independently, or together (either in separate groups or as a whole community). They can work at whatever pace they'd like - but time runs against them. A five-hour countdown timer ticks continuously, and each hour that passes lowers the jackpot by $1,000. If the FINAL ANSWER remains hidden when time expires, the game is over. Each player starts with 100 credits and a Clue Envelope. During the game, the players can trade credits for information or help, or just about anything. The Clue Envelope is worth 100 credits, but ONLY if it remains sealed. Each player must decide whether to preserve their Clue Envelope, open it, or trade it. If the FINAL ANSWER is discovered, the player who finds it earns 6,000 credits. The jackpot will then be distributed among all the players based on percentage of credits - in CASH. Friday, 8:00AM - 2:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, All Ages.

But will they stand a chance against the humongous OGRE mk V - a gargantuan mobile fortress that has been scratch built for this debut event at over 2 feet long? Friday, 2:00PM - 8:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.

Q0004: Battlestar Galactica; "Tales of the Rising Star: 33" by Phoenix Outlaw Productions & Last Minute Productions. A DEXCON 17 EXCLUSIVE! Previously on Battlestar Galactica...the people of the Rising Star had escaped Picon Fleet Headquarters and began its Exodus into space. As they avoided Cylon Base-Stars, the crew of the Rising Star suffered loss and hardship. Having some of President Adar's cabinet who had missed the code deadline, they arrived at Ragnar Anchorhead to a new president...Laura Roslin. During the confusion, a Base-Star jumped nearby. The politicians among the Rising Star argued about joining the fleet even as Base-Star missiles headed towards the Rising Star and the fleet of humanity. Up to 72 players will take on the role of colonial survivors and military in the Battlestar Galactica universe and face the Cylon threat in this highly freeform game; what you see is what you get - interact with computers, engines, and science problems hands on. Players should have a fair knowledge of the (modern) BSG television series and come with previous LARP experience. Players from DEXCON 17 can continue playing their characters, but new character creation can be done before game either by emailing the game designers at BSGRisingStar@gmail.com or at event L0009: The LARP Bazaar (Wednesday Night at 10:00PM). Q0006: Pacific Rim; "Rise of Tiburon" by Nerdy City. A DEXCON 17 EXCLUSIVE! It's 2023 and the Jaeger Program is already in peril. Authorities cite the fall of Gipsy Danger in Anchorage against the deadly Category 3 Kaiju Knifehead as an example of the failure of the Jaeger program. However, In the Pacific Northwest, The Sea-Tac Shatterdome Outpost has learned that the Breach is dilating, and the world's first Category 4 Kaiju, Codename: Tiburon, is heading straight for Seattle. The Miracle Mile is in peril. Their finest Jaeger, the Mark 3 juggernaut known as Bedlam Armada, is being sent to fight the beast, but no other Jaegers are available. The Mark 1 Jaeger Echo Thunderhead lies in pieces around the Shatterdome as it is being repaired, but piloting the old thing is a deadly proposition. Vancouvers' Shatterdome is sending the Mark 3 Falcon Chevalier as fast as they can, but due to the storms it could be valuable hours - hours Seattle doesn't have. The pilots of Bedlam Armada are counting on you - they'll need every single department of the Pan-Pacific Defense Corps operating at peak efficiency to win. There's a threat uncoiling in the Shatterdome, though. The rumors of the presence of an extremist Kaiju-Worshipping terrorist group, the dread Gu Chongbai, has internal security putting a lockdown on the edifice, trapping military personal, scientists, and refugees within until the threat is abated. Meanwhile, the Miracle Mile off Seattle's coast is woefully under-protected, and only time will tell if Tiburon will leave anything - or anyone - standing. character creation can be done before game at event L0009: The LARP Bazaar (Wednesday Night at 10:00PM). Both senior alumni and current senior students will be able to test for this class, as many of our former students who have already passed their N.E.W.T.S. were not provided the opportunity to partake in the Defense Against the Dark Arts Course. We will be curve grading according to houses, and you students will be spending your time reviewing and researching different tools to defend yourself against curses, blights, and even things that go bump in the night. Be ready for a ton of work as you research and decipher the classes materials, perform alchemical experiments, and practice to learn new spells and abilities to take on a homework assignment with a bite.
