To reserve your spot in the events you want to play in, send eMail to: dexcon20@dexposure.com and include your name and the events you want to register for BY CODE ONLY! NOTE: You may ONLY choose Event Codes which are SHOWN IN GREEN. DO NOT CHOOSE CODES WHICH ARE SHOWN IN RED and have LOCKS on them. Red Event Codes indicate locked events which you cannot register for, later rounds in tournaments which you will be automatically advanced to from preliminary rounds, or events which have already filled up to capacity (this page will be updated several times before the convention starts).

NOTE: The CUTOFF for reserving events is 10:00AM EST on Wednesday, July 5. After that time, you can ONLY reserve events by physically entering your name on the Big Board when you arrive at the convention.

We allow you to select second and third choices for a given time slot; indicate this clearly in whatever fashion you'd like, otherwise we will just leave that slot open.

We will reply to your email with a confirmation that your reservations were received as quickly as possible. Note that you MUST include a valid eMail reply-to address for us to reach you to confirm. If you have previously selected LARPs and/or Signature Events, they will be included in this confirmation.

In the interest of conserving space, repeat listings of the same event or multiple round events will contain only the title, a reference to the first listing, time and round information. Note that prizes are usually NOT listed; all prizes will be gallery level certificates (or applicable awards), unless otherwise specified. In the case of cash prizes, Double Exposure reserves the right to withdraw the grand prize based on attendance of the specific event. Some cash value prizes will be awarded as certificates or shopping sprees for the Dealers' Room, and MAY be transferred to future Double Exposure conventions.

(6) All "Next Round" listings show which specific round or session you will be scheduled for automatically if you advance. This information is vital, and you should be aware of it, although you CAN reserve an alternate selection which takes place at the same time as a future advancement round. At the appropriate time, you will cancel one or the other. Note that all available events are shown in GREEN, and all advancement rounds are shown in RED.

S0443: Stitch & Bitch with Kate: A Credit Bureau Event. Crafting Circles are a frequent way for people to gather together and talk. This Stitch & Bitch will not be limited to any single craft, but is open to all sorts of crafts! Examples of those crafts include (but not limited to): Knitting, crochet, needlepoint, minis painting, weaving, penguin cuddling, calligraphy, book binding, Rob vexation, bracelet making, drawing, doodling, tatting, among many things that simply cannot be listed here. S0475: Darts. Join us for a session of skill and accuracy. Official scoring will be used in this single-elimination tournament. Thursday, 11:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, All Ages.

S0476: "The Family Game Table" presented by Andi Gastonguay. Bring the family and join blogger Cthulhu Mom at her game table. This is an opportunity for parents to squeeze in an extra game and for older children to join the game. Younger children will have space to share their favorite activities. Biblios, Camp Grizzly, Flash Point: Fire Rescue, Ice Cool, Jungle Speed, Palabra, The Magic Labyrinth, Feed The Kitty and other games will be available, but feel free to bring a favorite. We will anticipate slower game play while parents tend to their children as needed. S0480: "Magikarp is Beautiful" presented by Janice Mallardi, Andrew Sirkin. Paint your fish to the best of your ability. Your fish will be judged on quality and how much fun you had painting! S0591: "Beautiful Magikarp Bounce!" presented by Janice Mallardi, Andrew Sirkin. You take your beautiful fish and compete for the best bounce! Highest bounce wins! "Magikarp are often regarded as useless, but they just keep jumping anyway! Isn't that so inspiring!?" This event is modeled after the game Magikarp Jump, but this is NOT an electronic game. S0592: "Hot Seat" by Game Show Bro's. A DEXCON 20 EXCLUSIVE! See four increasingly useful clues to a puzzle. Which one would give you the answer? Which one would give your opponent the answer? That's HOT SEAT, the original game show from The Game Show Bro's. Each player gets a turn in the Hot Seat, where they can earn points by deducing a word with as few clues as possible. Meanwhile, the other players earn points by betting on which clue will permit the Hot Seat player to solve the puzzle. The action never stops! (OK...we're exaggerating. It's only a five-day convention.) Do well and you'll survive to the next round, and then perhaps move into the finals. We'll play two separate games with up to seven players each. The winners get to indulge in the rich taste of dairy-fresh dealer dollars. We'll also toss in a few to the runners up for coming close. S0642: "Two Hours of Non-Structured Block Building Time" presented by Robert Dixon. Everybody likes to play with blocks! Bring some blocks and hang out at a table with other people playing with blocks. Wooden blocks, LEGOs, DUPLO, Lincoln Logs, Capsella, Tinkertoys, whatever! S0645: Remind Rob About the Invoice. Don't ask questions. Just visit Rob Cornelius at Big Board HQ, and remind him that he has an invoice to pay to Vinny. S0682: Strip Twister. In the last few years, many contestants went behind closed doors to compete in this most unusual tournament. S0723: The DEXCON 20 Pun Contest. Our infamous Pun Contest pits the brightest (er, wackiest) contestants against each other in a knock-down, drag-out, groan-producing brawl. Run by +2 Comedy, players will compete to compose puns based on common English expressions. Once a pun is used, it cannot be used again. To make matters worse, the audience can shout out anything they want, and if an audience member steals a pun, it is also off-limits. A panel of judges will make decisions on the quality of puns. S0799: Yarn, Costuming, Tea, (Cook)Book and Story Swap. Join "The Credit Bureau: I've Got My Cred Right Here, Buddy!" for a stuff swap. Any unclaimed "stuff" will be donated or distributed to appropriate homes after the event. Come and chat, craft and find out more about The Credit Bureau, a loose association of women and non-binary transfolk who verb games. (No trolling. Trolls will be escorted to the door.) S0806: "High Rollers Interviews" presented by Jacqueline Bryk, Ben Walker. Damocles Thread Development will be interviewing folks live on our Twitch channel from 6PM to 10PM on Friday at DEXCON! S0814: "The $300 Pyramid" by Game Show Bro's. A DEXCON 20 EXCLUSIVE! One of the most beloved classic game shows of all time: The Pyramid is back, and Dick Clark-ier than ever! Players will be paired randomly and matched against another pair. In each match the pairs alternately select categories from the Pyramid. One player will see seven items that fit that category, and use verbal clues and gestures to try to help their partner correctly guess as many as possible in thirty seconds. The team that has guessed the most items correctly after all six categories have been played wins that round. Each winning pairs advances from the prelims to the semi-finals to the finals, but first gets a shot at The Winner's Circle, where the the top prize grows each round. Winnings are awarded as a shopping spree in the DEXCON 20 Dealers' Room! There are also bonus side games, for extra prizes and fun. Friday, 8:00PM - 10:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. S0847: Artist Alley Telestrations. An Envoy Event! The game of Telestrations is Pictionary meets Telephone. In this adapted game, our large band of artists will play with audience members who write clues. We'll take the artwork to a whole new level! S0880: "Ready? Chain... Go!" presented by Bruce Neiger & Brendan Herlihy. A DEXCON 20 EXCLUSIVE! "What" - "is" - "the" - "newest" - "game" - "from" - "the" - "Game" - "Show" - "Bro's?" That would be this one, where players form clues by chaining words, one-at-a-time. Each team has three clue givers and one guesser. Two players chain clues, until they score. Then the clue givers shift. Beat the other teams and win prize points - then try to win even more in the bonus round. Friday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Join the staff of Double Exposure as we ride herd on an event that has been going on since the turtles have come home and as usual, we still don't have a clue what we're doing. S0981: The "Twit of the Year 2017" Contest. One of DEXCON's most famous events, hosted by +2 Comedy! In this contest of sheer insanity, our contestants are asked to do perfectly rational things - to the rest of the world. Whoever can screw up the most common everyday actions will win the coveted "Twit of the Year" trophy! Saturday, 1:00PM - 2:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. S1054: The DEXCON 20 Artist Jam Session. Join many of our artist guests as we put them in front of a giant blank canvas and let them loose. Audience members can shout encouragement and ideas and watch a creation unfold in front of their eyes! Saturday, 4:00PM - 6:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. S1055: The Montclair Gamer Symphony Orchestra. Join us for an afternoon of live instrumental music, performed by the Montclair Gamer Symphony Orchestra! Selections may include music from Final Fantasy, Animal Crossing, Sam and Max, Castlevania, and more! The Montclair Gamer Symphony Orchestra was originally founded in 2014. Inspired by and modeled off of the Gamer Symphony Orchestra at the University of Maryland, MGSO draws its repertoire solely from video game music. We're the first orchestra in New Jersey to exclusively play video game music. We've hosted concerts, both for full orchestra and small ensembles, and have played at conventions across the northeast. You may have seen us rocking the stage at A Video Game Con in New Jersey, or jamming in the halls at MAGFest in D.C. S1060: "Poker 201" presented by Brad Hausman. You know how to play, you know about trying to bluff, but do you understand the numbers that the pros think about? This session will help you to understand position, odds, pot odds, and forcing action. S1102: "Beat the Mob!" by Game Show Bro's. A DEXCON 20 EXCLUSIVE! Join the seventh annual test of cerebral fitness put on by the Game Show Bro's. In each of several rounds, one person, picked at random from the audience, will be pitted head-to-head in a battle for general knowledge supremacy, against the rest of the Mob! The longer it goes, the more the player earns. And if the player blows it? The Mob splits the money! Oh yes... There are big time dealer dollar sprees available. The game is a version of the classic game show "1 Vs. 100", modified to be the ultimate convention trivia experience! Saturday, 8:00PM - 10:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. S1140: "Jukebox Bingo" presented by Mary Catanzaro. Listen up! No really, listen... because things are about to get musical! Jukebox Bingo is a brand new version of an old favorite - it's Bingo, but where traditional numbers are replaced by popular songs! Taking Bingo to the next level, Jukebox Bingo combines Bingo with Music Trivia, and even throws in a little Karaoke for good measure. The end result is a healthy dose of musical mayhem, proving that Bingo isn't just for little old ladies in senior centers anymore! (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) S1187: The Double Exposure Summer Gaming Auction. A Double Exposure tradition! Join us for an auction of used games and other science fiction and fantasy memorabilia in a fast-paced auction. Items for bid include rare collectible cards, old out-of-print games and many surprises. Sponsored by several area stores, the Dealer's Room and Double Exposure.
