L030: "Heimdall's Children" by Scott & Shelly Mohnkern. The ancient Norse had a very different view of the nature of vampires and their origins. To them, vampires are the Blood Chosen of Odin (einherjar) pursuing Valhalla on Earth in preparation for Ragnarok. Tell them they are descended from the kin slayer Caine at your peril. At their height, Norse vampire jarls (lords) ruled openly with their blood servants as huskarls (fighting men sworn to a lord) and oaths in both directions. Life was harsh in the far North and unlife no less so. Come join one such jarl in ancient Iceland as he and his village try to survive the harsh winter. Be aware that most of the characters in this game are NOT vampires but being Norse, they are no less dangerous. But then again, so is the land in which they live. Saturday, 2:00PM - 6:00PM; One Round; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, All Ages.

In this new Z-Man game, each player symbolizes one of the 20th Century's most powerful Ideologies - Capitalism, Islamic Fundamentalism, Imperialism, Communism, or Fascism. Starting with one global region completely under its sway, each Ideology attempts to influence and control the independent regions of the earth. Each Ideology will use economic, cultural, and military influence to bring countries under control. If a player has influence in a country in which you have influence, you can both engage in economic, cultural, and military conflict (depending on your diplomatic stance toward each other) to knock out your opponent's influence. You can also purchase Advancements like Propaganda, Tactics, etc. to make it harder for an opponent to conflict you or to make it easier for you to influence a country. The goal is to posses a Global Influence of 12 or more. Saturday, 4:00PM - 8:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, All Ages.
