Cultures have developed and evolved out of the former cultures of Earth, forming new groups out of the ashes of the old. This playtest is set to look at the cultural development of the setting material of Arksong to get ideas about its level of inclusivity, cultural sensitivity, and range of diversity in the already existing materials, as well as get suggestions for what might be done to make the game more inclusive going forward. Friday, 9:00AM - 11:00AM; Serious, 18 & Over ONLY. This is a HI-TEST session. ***ONLY ONE SEAT LEFT!***

L103: [ALPHA TEST] "The Abortionists" presented by Melissa Cohen. Chicago, 1972. A group of feminist activists perform illegal abortions in order to empower women. [FILLED] L202: [BETA TEST] "Mantles in the Museum" by Jason Cox and Lillian Lewis; presented by Jason Cox. How do you find meaning in art? L260: [BETA TEST] "Mantles in the Museum" by Jason Cox and Lillian Lewis; presented by Jason Cox. How do you find meaning in art? L261: [BETA TEST] "No Further Questions" by Talking Dog Games; presented by Chad Wolf, Jeff Dieterle. There are 2 seats left.

[FILLED] L322: [BETA TEST] "God of a Gilded World" by Stone Baby Games; presented by Julia Ellingboe. In the beginning... The heavens and earth are one, the entire universe fits into in an egg-shaped cloud, or maybe a Mason jar or a salt shaker. You're the Creator, you decide. This is a creation story-building one-player LARP about a god who decides to get their crafty DIY vibe. The "game mechanic" is building a small moss terrarium - in character as that god. Players will be able to keep their terrariums and continue to play god and keep developing their creation myth as they care for their tiny glass-bound world. The designer will supply moss, substrate, and the other building blocks for literal world building. Friday, 8:00PM - 10:00PM; Fun, All Ages. There are 0 seats left.

[FILLED] L323: [ALPHA TEST] "Hope of Redemption" by Unicorn Motorcycle Games; presented by Wendelyn Reischl. This game is about tragedy and triumph, focused on human imperfection. It is an intimate story of people on opposites sides of a struggle, locked in a dance of hope and agony. This is an idea for a freeform larp centered around redemption, atonement, and forgiveness. The focus is on structure of the game and ways to include more than two players as meaningful participants in the LARP. Tone/themes: Emotional content. Power exchange dynamics. Vulnerability. Self doubt. Friday, 8:00PM - 10:00PM; Very Serious, 18 & Over ONLY. There are 0 seats left.

L324: [ALPHA TEST] "Party Parent" presented by Elizabeth Stong. A fun night on the town turns can turn chaotic in the blink of an eye. Friday, 8:00PM - 10:00PM; Serious, 18 & Over ONLY. ***ONLY ONE SEAT LEFT!***

The Beltane dance is the biggest event of the year at Robert Johnson Memorial High School, and it's happening tonight. Players are students who are also Phonomancers - magicians who focus their powers through music. You've already requested your favorite song, so the dance is your best opportunity to show off, unleash magical mayhem on your classmates, and maybe even do some dancing. My Jam is a freeform-inspired LARP based loosely on Kieron Gillen and Jaime McElvie's Phonogram comic series, and aims to combine the teen emotional drama of games like Monsterhearts with the atmosphere of a slightly awkward dance party. [FILLED] L382: [ALPHA TEST] "Ships in the Night" by Talking Dog Games; presented by Chad Wolf. You are a fairy light, blinking in and out of existence, seemingly at random. Every 100 years, you take human form for a very short period of time with some other fairy lights you might know. This is the only time you can have the physical contact that you so desire and really get an opportunity to have an uninterrupted conversation with someone. What you do not know is that the next time you take human form will be a special occurrence because a new fairy light will be born. Friday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; Serious, 18 & Over ONLY. L493: [BETA TEST] "I Came Here To Be Heard" by Talking Dog Games; presented by Chad Wolf. The town of West Shore, Illinois is landlocked. No one alive could tell you the name before that. It is a small town of around 1,000 people. It is diverse both racially and socioeconomically. More importantly, it has biweekly municipal meetings where the mayor and/or council discusses proposed legislation and issues. Based on audience preference, number of players who arrive and various other factors (entirely left to the discretion of our crack facilitator team!), any or all games of each winning category might run. Categories include: Most Convention-Ready, Most Appealing to Newcomers, Cleverest Design and Game We're Most Eager to Play. Each game will run a minimum of once during the convention. Sunday, 10:00AM - 12:00PM; Fun, All Ages. There are 3 seats left.

L828: [FOCUS GROUP] "Forgotten Forest" presented by Meghan Dornbrock. An interactive role playing game for children that guides and supports their imaginative play. Inspired by "Tales of the Crystals" this game will present re-playable audio narratives that encourage young players to transform their environment, perform tasks, and cooperate to progress the stories. It's a fantasy LARP-in-a-box for kids! Parents and children encouraged to participate. Sunday, 12:00PM - 1:00PM; Fun, All Ages. There are 3 seats left.

[FILLED] L829: [ALPHA TEST] "School For Future Villains" presented by Anne Ratchat, Shayna Cook. No one quite knows when this school started or what purpose it serves. But as a student with unconventional dreams, you think you have found a place you can truly push your own potential. At this trans-dimensional school, you can hone your magic, science, or horrifying presence. Inspired by comic books, trope-y fantasy, and Bollywood, among many other things. Sunday, 12:00PM - 2:00PM; Fun, Under 18 Requires Parental Clearance. There are 0 seats left.

[FILLED] L830: [BETA TEST] "White Girl Wasted" by Damocles Thread Development; presented by Jacqueline Bryk. Non-indigenous people desperately want spirit animals. You may have heard a friend of yours call something their "spirit animal", be it a gif, a video, or a big mood. While there is some evidence for totemic or familiar spirits in European cultures, this is rarely what they are referring to. White Girl Wasted is a comedy LARP about white people getting wasted and going on an astral journey with their spirit parents in a minivan. We are testing to see if it can be played in any room with up to seven chairs, with minimal prep. Sunday, 12:00PM - 2:00PM; Fun, Under 18 Requires Parental Clearance. There are 0 seats left.
